As you know we are using motor running capacitor in electric fans and electric motors, but most people do not  know about the ceiling fan capacitor. And the  function of capacitor. We are using permanent split capacitor motor (motor running capacitor) in electric ceiling fans.
Electric ceiling fans have 3 wire(terminals). Which are common, start and run. The electric ceiling fans or electric motors have two types of coils, a "run" and a "start" winding.
A Capacitor is connected in series with the start winding to insert a phase shift, but once the electric ceiling fan or electric motor is up to speed it becomes an auxiliary winding.
As you know that we use 3.5 uf motor running capacitor (permanent split capacitor motor) in electric ceiling fans and electric single phase motor.
Note date we will use only motor running capacitor in single phase electric motors. If you have a stand electric fan or ceiling electric fans, and its speed are very slow in 220 voltage. Then kindly change the capacitor and use 4.5 uf motor running capacitor for Electric stand fans.

However if you have any question then do ask me in comments section below.

Stand electric fans are using mostly in Pakistan and India. Today we will learn that which type of Capacitor we can use in Stand electric fans. last class we learned that we are using 3.5 uf motor running capacitor in ceiling electric fans.
We also learned that we are using the motor running capacitor in single phase motor and electric stand fan is always a single phase motor.

For example we have a electric stand fan which is not starting OR stand fan are running too slow. Then the problem in capacitor and we can replace it easily.
We can use 4.5 uf motor running capacitor on electric stand fan.
Brought a 4.5 capacitor from market and replace it. After replacing the capacitor we will find you stand fan is working.

Note if you have any question then do ask me in comments section.

As you know that we also published a class about ceiling fan and it's capacitor. Last class we learned that which capacitor we are use in electric ceiling fans. And we also learned that we are using 3.5uf motor running capacitor in AC electric ceiling fans.
3.5 uf motor running capacitor are working very good in AC electric ceiling fans. If voltage are 220 volts. But if voltage are low then what shall we do?
Voltage are coming  mostly low in Pakistan, India. Those places in which voltage are coming 100 volts to 150 volts. And the case of low voltage we can use 3.5 uf capacitor but the fan is working very low speed.
Now in low voltage case. You shall use 4.5 uf or 4.0 uf in ceiling fan. And after you shall use replace the 4.0 uf capacitor. We will find that our ceiling fan is working good.
When you will use 4.0 uf or 4.5 uf motor running capacitor in low voltage case on ceiling fan. We will find that our ceiling fans is  working with good speed.
Note that do not use 4.0 uf or 4.5 uf capacitor in case of full voltage (220 volts).

Now if you have any question then do ask me in comment section below.

Today we will learn that which capacitor we are using in ceiling fan. We are know that ceiling fans are using mostly in homes and offices. But some people do'not know which capacitor we are using in ceiling fans.
We are using 3.5 uf motor running capacitor in our Electric ceiling fan, note that it is for 220 volts AC fans.
What shall  we do if our ceiling fan is not starting OR our fan is starting but it's speed is too low.
Brought a 3.5 uf motor running capacitor form market. Open the capacitor fart of ceiling fan and replace it.
After replacing the capacitor you will find that your fan is starting with his full speed.

Note that we are using only 3.5 uf motor running capacitor in 220 volts AC ceiling fan.

We know that every person is using single phase motors in his life, we are also using single phase motor. As i am using single phase motor, it is very important to know some about the single phase motors. Finding start, run and common terminal or wires in single phase motors are very simple but most people do'not know that how can we will find at ?. It is very simple and every person how are wants to learn they can learn.
For example we want to find start, run and common wires in a electric ceiling fan. For finding we will use a good multimeter and we will set it on ohms. First of we will touch one lead (of the meter which we set on ohms) to one wire and the other lead (of the meter) to one another wire. And we will record your reading.
Lets call these wire with the name of (A) and (B), and the remaining wire lets call (C) wire.
So for example A-B have =10 ohms
Now touch the one lead (of the meter) with (A) and t he other lead (of the meter) to the (C) wire and read the A-C and Record. Lets say 6 ohms.
Now lets read (C) wire and (B) with meter and record. Lets say 13 ohms.
Now lets add all the A's which is 10+6 = 16 ohms.
Now lets add all the B's which is 10+13 = 23 ohms.
Now lets add all the C's which is 6+13 = 19 ohms.
The highest reading which we find, will be the "Start" winding.
The Next highest reading which we find with the help of ohm meter, will be the "Run" winding.
The lowest reading which we find, will be the "Common" winding.
There fore B winding is = "Start winding"
The next is C winding is = "Run winding"
The remaining wire of ceiling fan or single phase motor  A is = "Common" winding.

I hope you understood all steps, now if you have any question regarding this post then do ask me in comment section.
