How to wire Voltmeter?

How to wire voltmeter. OR. How to connect voltmeter to AC supply.
Requirements :
1 Voltmeter
2 pieces of electric Cables
AC supply 220 volts 50 HZ

Connect the voltmeter to AC supply, as shown in figure below.
