What is Circuit Breaker?

"It is a device for making and breaking a circuit both under normal and abnormal conditions.

The function of a circuit breaker is to make and break a circuit under high-load, heavy load and short circuit condition, although the making and breaking of S.C currents has the major. influence on the size and rating of the circuit breaker. Most circuit breaker's are manual reset type. In the manual reset type circuit breaker when over current causes the breaker to trip.
